I disagree - this is not a great kit!
This is not a great kit, as some have said. I'm of the opinion, that it isn't any better than any other of Round 2's reissues. It's obvious to me that they're just another company trying to make continued profits on worthless molds. So, here's my take on this kit, and I'll start with the positives don't worry about holding your breath, 'cause there ain't that many! The one-piece window module easily superglues in place using the roof portion of the molding. The front clip seats nicely, and with a line of superglue, holds there with just a short amount of finger-clamping.
Now, on to the problems with this very old kit. The mold still shows its age, but more on that later. The aforementioned chrome front clip has headlight reflectors that are just plain bad. Coupled with the lenses, which are far from clear probably to hide the reflectors are flashed, and too small. When the flash was removed was it there to make them look bigger?, they were deformed and ugly. I used UV-activated clear epoxy instead.
The battery, if installed according to the line drawings, will impede the hood from closing! That's a new one! Usually, it's the top of the engine! The body does not fit well over the rest of the assembly. You'll have to guess at where the interior gets attached to the trunk because there are pins here of a sort that have no matching holes. It's no wonder they tell you to cement the body to the chassis, because without glue, it would never stay where you wanted it to stay!
Working our way to the rear, the tail lights are an embarrassment. They're about the only feature that sets the back end of the Galaxie apart from the also-rans, and Round 2 decided to do it the cheap, quick way. Instead of inserting them into the existing holes, they must be glued to the outside of the body! This creates an ugly mold line. Take a look at how the box artwork minimizes this flaw - a red paint job, next to the red lenses.
Finally, the worst part of this kit is the body. The passenger side has been nicely cleaned up, with panel lines and badges looking almost new. The driver side is... well, just the opposite. Please see the fourth photo of my finished model. The panel lines are so shallow, you can't even see some of them, let alone be able to rescribe them. The badges on the front and back are restored, so this tells me that Round 2 had originally intended to restore the entire body, but somewhere around halfway, they realized it was costing a lot more than they estimated, and just stopped the process, leaving hobbyists with only half a display model!
