Time magnet
Lot of work, spent the last two winters on it. I tried to give it a battlefield appearance. This kit has a lot of small detail. The molding lines are pretty nice but as far as fit is concerned it requires quite a bit of scraping and trimming everywhere with some areas needing puddy work. If you take your time and are patient it can turn out to be a fine project. Instructions are dumb, go to the web and look at real photos and you'll figure out the chain gun and various other small detail areas. I think the non-specified main gear struts would have worked better. I recommend using magnifying glasses and a PanaVise.
Academy 1/48 AH-64D
The kit has some details errors and some pin marks are present. The seats are also not shaped well. Overall, it is not really an AH-64D, but more so and AH-64A, and basically a reboxing of the AH-64A kit.
