A little short
By: fosk
This is a typical Academy kit, good fit, nice mouldings and above average detail for this scale. The wings have very good rib detail and textured areas representing the fabric cover of the flight controls. The canopy is a little tricky. It's made up of 4 clear parts that must be clued together to form the top and sides of the fuselage. The struts and cross members that support the wings are a little fiddly. Some of the cross member pieces were a little short and I ended up using plastic rod from Evergreen. The kit offers 2 different engines, one in-line piston engine and a radial engine for the French version of the Storch. Decals were very good and went down with no issues. A little patience required, but makes into a good model
A fun model to build.
I was looking for the model for some time. There were a good number of parts for such a small model, but it went together without and big issues. It was rather fun to put together. I used mainly Tamyia paints and glue. There was no issue with flash or mold problems such as warping and bends in the parts. I used the German decals and added a few extra decals I ordered for some other aircraft to make them a bit more historically accurate. I would recommend this model to anyone with a moderate to more skilled modeler.
