Everything I like about Academy models
Academy makes detailed, sturdy model airplanes that are a lot of fun to build. The fit of the pieces is precise, which cuts down on the frustration level. The details in the cockpit, wheel wells, and engine are all excellent. This combination of good fit and great detail makes for a terrific kit. Two paint schemes are offered, a bare-metal USAAF version and an RAF aircraft in Southeast Asian colors, which are both unusual options and make the kit more interesting than the average P-47. The instructions and painting guide are clear and easy to follow, as usual. Academy's models are always enjoyable, and give you high quality for the cost.
Just GREAT!
Everything about this kit is great. The fit of the parts, the engraved panel line and hardly any flash. Nice decals and easy to read instructions. But, again a basic cockpit and closed canopy. This kit is just about for anyone. I have built several.
