Superb Sabre
This kit, although small in size and low in part count, is an absolute joy to build. The fit was spot on and only required a minimal amount of filling. Details were nicely molded and panel lines were sharp and not too deep. The decal options are wonderful. I chose The Huff for my build as that massive dragon just looked cool. This being a natural metal airplane, you need to make sure seams are filled and polished away. That was the hardest part of the build. I finished mine off with Vallejo metal colors over a gloss black base, using the kit decals. My sample had fantastic decals - no issues with using solvaset to get them to conform to the model. I have heard issues with some Academy kits having thick decals which were almost unusable. This was a fun build and was easy to complete in a few days of work. If in the market for a small scale F86, take a look at this kit!
Well worth the cost
Nice exterior detail and went together quite well. For $20 you'd be hard pressed to find anything significantly better. The detail in the cockpit is limited but that's usually par for the course on a small plane in 72nd scale. Only issue I could find, which isn't really that big of a deal, was the decals were less than perfect and tended to rip easily.
Koprean War F-86F
I enjoyed building this kit. As usual, metal paint is very unforgiving. Make sure that the seams are filled and sanded smooth. The kit went together well and requires weight in the nose to balance properly.
