Reviews : Academy F-15 Eagle

Let me begin this review by saying this is probably the best 1:144 F-15 for the price. My father was a mechanic for the unit that had these jets., so he was a good reference for building the kit in terms of detailing. The decals for this kit are for the aircraft of Kadena AFB in Japan. Its a great kit for dioramas as it features excellent panel detail and porportions of the parts. I have only two complaints for this kit. The first being the lack of a full weapons load. Second, there's no internal cockpit detail so if you feel brave you can carve one out once the fusalge is together. I build many small kits like this one but I have to say this one is my favorite.

This kit had very few parts and had no pods to hold the included missiles.....that being said, I laid $4 and some change and after a paint scheme I made with tape, came out ok. This kit fits in with the rest of my little 1/144 kits I bought from hobbylinc.

Very affordable small-scale model of the F-15 Eagle. Simple construction. Excellent kit for a beginner or young child. Extremely crisp and detailed decals for such a small model. Well worth the minimal investment.

This kit is lacking in overall detail, it has absolutely no cockpit detail of any kind. It comes with four sparrow missiles and no wing pylons. Good for beginners, I would probably not recommend this kit.
