The Best Model of the Bismarck out there
This is the best model of the Bismarck that I have had the the pleasure to build. The Tamiya model, while quite good, is still beaten by this kit. It is very highly detailed with very nice molds, leaving little flash or extra plastic. What really puts it over the top for me, however, is the inclusion of rails to the kit. Now, while they are not photo-etch rails like you would see in a third-party detail kit, they are still really nice plastic railings that add an extra level of detail and realism to the kit (even with the railings being slightly large for their scale). Now, if you are planning to buy a photo-etch kit for this model they are irrelevent, but the rest of the model is still very nice. I would recommend this kit to any modeler who wants a nice, while also challenging, kit to work on. I would recommend some experience, however.
sometimes puzzeling model

I am a 67 year old and semi retired. was looking for something to pass the time. I hadn't built a model since my teens. this model was a challenge for me. I found the instructions to be very simplistic with very little detail. painting suggestions are almost non existent. had to rely completely on the pictures on the box, which by the way, showed some details not in this kit. I wish I had known this before purchasing. however, I did enjoy the build. spent many hours on it. found out I have a long way to go to be a good modeler.
A Must-Have kit
If you like warships, this is a must-build kit. There was NO flash on the parts and everything went together well. Yeah, the center hull section needs to be sanded a little to fit well into the hull - but that is a minor issue. The amount of detail on the superstructure is just crazy. This is my third 1/350 scale battleship and this is by far the most detailed and best engineered ship in the bunch. You can't go wrong with this kit, especially while HobbyLinc has it marked down.
A good model with some issues.

For the price, this is a good model.
There are some fitting issues here and there, the worst being the deck to the hull, it can be done but be prepared to do some sanding to make it fit right.
Details are kind of simple, and as others had stated, the instructions are a bit vague. If you are an experienced modeler you can make this into a nice looking model.
Great kit

This is my 7th 1/350 ship, great kit very little problems with assembly. Parts fit together very well. Paint colors are listed on very very few parts, same for the instructions. Enjoyed this kit quite a bit, i recommend it. Only problem is the main decks didnt fit perfectly to the hull section, but just a small small amount of sanding dis the trick.
Very nice kit of the German Battleship
This kit is a very nice kit. Lots of very good details and assembly is easy. Recommend purchasing the aftermarket photoetch detail set which adds a level of detail to compliment the already high details of the kit.
