Nice kit for its size. Low part count but an accurate representation of an interesting subject. The 747 is a simple but accurate representation. The tail parts include the vertical stabilizers specific to this special plane. I did add diagonal supports between the rear wings and these stabilizers as per my references, but that was the only thing missing. The supports for the Shuttle fit well between the plane and shuttle. The Shuttle is also a fairly accurate representation and comes with decals for a few different shuttles. The instructions are good, simple and straight-forward with a good paint scheme guild. The decals are good quality and go down well and fit correctly over the scribed detail on the plane and shuttle and are accurate to my references. This would be a great kit for beginners to get started on passenger sized planes and/or space themed subjects. Instructions provide a nice explanation of the history and mission of the plane.

The copy of this model I was given to put together for another person, had only one stripe decal (a single blue stripe) instead of the blue, white, and red found on the original transport craft. I had to paint the stripes on by hand. Also, the shuttle was in a semi-gloss finish. The real shuttle had a flat finish. The transport was molded in a gray instead of an aluminum, so that had to be repainted in order to be historically correct.
