Something different
This was an interesting build.
The kit itself is simple with log pieces (short and long), planks and the supports (bases) at each end of the bridge. Pieces are molded in a light brown plastic. Log pieces were interesting enough in color variation that I did no further painting to them. I did apply a coat of Testor Dullcote as I thought they were too shiny.
Plank pieces had wood grain molded in. I dry brushed a darker brown paint to bring this out and was very pleased with the results.
Support bases in plain brown were boring to look at so I painted the rocks molded into the pieces different colors and applied model train grass to dress up the piece.
No glue is needed to assemble this kit as weight is used to hold everything in place but you can't move the kit without it falling apart. . A small box is supplied by the manufacturer to hold the log pieces if you decide to take the bridge apart.
My plan is to buy a small piece of wood to act as a base and glue the base pieces to the wood and re-assemble the kit. With the bases held in place the rest of the structure should be stable (I hope).
Overall fun build and an interesting subject.
