It wasn't half bad!
For an AMT kit from a well worn tool, this one was actually pretty good. Assembly was my biggest worry, and even though I had added the front clip before assembly, I was still able to get it together without any modifications. And it is now really solid. The interior is not a showcase, but even in person, you can't see much inside. So, I'm satisfied with the way it turned out. Don't get me wrong, this one started out a metallic black, and I absolutely hated it. They say dark colors aren't very good on small cars, and this one proved it. I stripped it all down with 91% alcohol and started over. This is my second try, and I think the brighter color really made a big difference. I would reluctantly recommend it.
Broken rule

I broke my rule of not buying AMT kits because everybody had the other manufacturers back ordered. All I wanted was the body and under pinning s to replicate a Camaro I saw many years ago at raceway park in Old Bridge nj. I thought this kit would provide basic parts. Oh well, live and learn Again! The body is dread-full and the floor pan
Is worse. The kit is not detailed at all. Two hoods not one flat, spoilers are molded in to the body, poor intake manifolds, the back seat is molded in to the interior, the rear a axle is half an axle with exhaust pipes, the axles are steel and go through odd protrusions in the floor pans, and there is no front suspension parts. I’ll see what I can do with it and buy the revell kit.
disappointing

This must be a re-release of a kit from the 70's. Detail is terrible. Chrome, typical AMT, very poor. Going to use body and decals to make my Yenko, will do some kit bashing, and resin to build something presentable out of it.
yes i screwed up the windows

fun kit to build. trim around back window looks toyish so i trimed it down. hardest part of the build was centering the wheels in the front and rear.all in all it does need mold improvements. i liked it.
Meh

I was hoping for more but it is what it is. In reality it is the exact same kit as the AMT '69 Hot Wheels COPO Camaro with different decals. Good for a beginner.
beautiful sight
