Reviews : AMT 1994 Ford F-150 Lightning Pickup

Okay, so this is the Lightning version of the F-150, that was specially designed by the Special Vehicle Team at Ford – the same team that created the Ford Raptor and the Mustang Cobra. This Round 2 is molded in white, and fits together almost perfectly. Seriously, no real flash and the fit on almost every part was superb. The 351 ci V8 has outstanding, and the engine well is full of detail and not too crammed to be impossible to work with. The overall model looks great, if not a bit monochromatic. The wheel attachments are perfect. The underside is detailed and looks wonderful. It looks like the 1:1. The seats are notched for fitting in the interior tub and fit great. The dash and instrument cluster is magnificent and careful painting makes it pop! Now the cons – the decals are TERRIBLE. They broke apart in the water and were almost unusable. Plus, they disappear on black paint (no light/dark decal options). You have to do research to understand where to put some of the decals – the interior seats featured “lightning” decals, but I didn’t see that in the instructions. Speaking of instructions, you will have to test fit a lot just to get a general understanding of the fit because the instructions are vague. The tires are no name – so annoying. Lastly, the price is a bit high for this model. However, I really loved the way it went together, and I would buy it again if the price dipped. Recommended.

Very versatile model, went together quite easily. I created customized versions of the truck as Los Angeles City Fire Department EMS Captain and Swift Water/Dive Rescue trucks. Naturally, I had to use custom parts to create these but was very satisfied with the result. Pictures are included in the gallery.

cut out the whole bed, floor, frame, engine tubs for the frame and engine from the foose f100, i cut the rockers out to have the truck lay doors, going to get a new kit to build it properly

Okay kit.. not real impressed with it Tire seem too small for truck.. not much as far as decals if you really need a 94 lightning go ahead and buy it otherwise don't bother

Two of the tires were deformed and the glass had scratches all over it. One parts tree had a lot of flash. I don't know how this one made it past quality control.
