Really enjoyed this kit
This kit turned out beautifully. I was told I wouldn’t like it because of the seems on the panels. They aren’t super noticeable, and I don’t mind. I think it turned out really well. Goes together pretty easy. The only down sides are the rear doors don’t open and I had to take a fuel tank for the reefer from an other kit. Evidently they didn’t think about that. It is also nice the suspension can be put in multiple locations. Also, this model is big, over 25†long.
New generation of AMT kits?
I have not seen an AMT kit mostly molded in black before. Wheels were silver. No chrome or white. Still was an enjoyable build. Decals were superb and quality of kit seemed to be a notch better than other AMT kits I have built. It is huge so be prepared to have a large working surface. Was somewhat disappointed that rear doors don't open, but really - so what?
Nice kit
Straight forward build with some fiddly pieces in the suspension and landing gear, so be patient. I wish the manufacturers would have included a fuel tank for the reefer unit and lines for the air brakes.
