Good Simple Kit, Big Engine
This kit comes with a Boss 429 engine. I just didn't feel it belongs in a Taxi. So, I used a 351 CI engine out of another kit for the Taxi version. This is a very good older kit. It has been re-issued a bunch of times. The build is simple, but the rear of the hood is a very tight fit. Be sure to dry fit it and sand the edges down before you paint it. You can modify it to look more like a Ford Custom (base model for fleet sales) or build it as a Galaxy.
A Retired Cab Drivers Dream Come True!!!
Being a retired cab driver I can't describe how thrilled I was to pick up not only one but three of these amazing kits. After seeing how cool this kit is and how loaded it is with taxi details (radio, roof sign, etc.) I've decided I'll be picking up at least two or more of these kits for my ever growing stash. All in all I can't recommend this great AMT kit any more than I already do, pick it up and enjoy.
1970 Ford Galaxie Taxi
Wow what a nice little model, just like the cop car, was very easy to put together, no flash, comes molded in yellow, . These are the old models l use to build when l was young,. great kit.
