Fun Build Despite Body Fit Issue
By: wityak58
This kit depicts a generic early AWB funny car and is a good starting point for a scale replica of the Doug Thorley AWB Nova. The body is nicely molded with good engraving and little flash. There is a big block Chevy engine and 4 speed trans. The injector stacks are molded with their parting lines at the top. Well done! The white styrene tires are a blast from the past. The kit has relatively few parts and is mostly a straightforward build. Others have noted, however, that problems arise when it is time to marry the body to the interior tub. I also ran into this problem, and is the result of a fitment issue between the inside of the windshield and the top forward edge of the dashboard. Filing the dash in this area to remove ca. 1/8 inch of the dash then allows everything to fit. Recommended.
Chevy 2 Much Fun
This is a model of a first generation funny car with the shortened wheel base. Its a nice kit which goes together mostly well until its time to attach the body to frame. Then it gets tricky with the contact points(There are none). I ended up throwing a lot of glue where the body meets the frame and let it sit for 24 hours. But it's a good looking car when its complete. It looks like something from the mid sixties.
Good Kit
Aside from the fact that there was relatively few parts, the kit came together pretty well. Little cleaning needed but the instructions were less than ideal. I would have liked a little more detail so I added some of my own.

1965 Nova
Awesome kit, very little flash, parts fell together but front axle will test your patience. Would do another but waiting on my next order.

Fun, easy build. A little lacking in detail, but gives you the opportunity to do your own. Liked the way it turned out.
