1967 Olds 442
Great model! Very nice details all around. Molded details like interior window knobs and body badges are nice and crisp. It was easy to highlight details with a chrome pen. A unique feature you don't see on many models, is the body's side chrome are pieces you glue into place. This kit has a nice number of pieces even though stock is the only option. If you want to customize you'll need to go to your parts stash. I painted mine using Testors Extreme Lacquer metallic burgundy. My opinion, Testors extreme lacquer rivals Tamiya, but I digress. I believe AMT reissued this 442 from a 90's Lindberg model. I highly recommend this kit to all skill level builders, easy enough for beginners, but detailed enough for seasoned builders.
Terrific Kit!
This kit offers lots of detail! The front grille, interior and chassis are nicely done. The engine even has brackets for the alternator and power steering pump. No floating in midair alternator for this model! I built my model mostly box stock with the exception of adding different wheels and tires. I also dechrome the lower body trim and did a lot of sanding and putty work to blend it into the body. This is a rerelease of an older Lindberg kit but it is great one to add to your collection!
