Its interesting model to build, but it has it flaws. Its not quite precise and will definitely require you to do a lot of modding to fit parts and make model looks good. Instructions are a bit confusing at some part, like wheels, but in general its not so bad. I wasnt happy with chrome parts and the way they are molded to excess plastic. it will require you to paint chrome over some parts. The thing is, they connected part with frame on place that is visible. Now some good stuff...it looks like im only complaining: Overall look of truck is awesome. you have option for Single or Double cab. Tires are way better than Revell models and wheel look amazing. Youll get a lot of different lights that so you can play around with those. Decals are quite nice, variety and quality. Overall, its good kit. challenging, but still good and worth every dollar.

When I started looking through this kit I discovered that the parts are not numbered on the molds and there is no diagram for where the parts are placed on the molds either. This made it incredibly difficult to locate some of the smaller parts. It was, as others have said, a definite plus to have the extra parts to work with (I had a wheel flange break while cutting it loose but there were spares), which definitely helped. It actually came together OK when building a custom version of it - I used the SD day cab tractor version for the chassis of the LAFD USAR truck (photos uploaded), and was able to extend the frame easily with balsa wood. Despite its difficulties I would still recommend this kit.

I was skeptical picking this kit up with the negative reviews. The directions are definitely very vague to say the least. Test fitting is a must. The three piece cab didn't bother me that much, line everything up the best you can and try to fill the seams. Before glueing the cab rest I taped my grill into the cab and mounted it on the frame to check the positioning of the cab rest with the cab down. This turned into a great finished model, I would like to get another to build the single axle day cab.

Fun build but not for amateurs had fitment issues with the cab had to do some sanding to get a good seam had to do some sanding and grinding on the front and back of the interior tub to fit frame went together well until I mounted the cab and the frame racked throwing off the stance of the stacks all and all a little elbow grease and ingenuity and you have a build to be proud of

This was the first model I built that had a multi-piece cab. That took some figuring out to make right. The kit is very nice with options for regular cap, sleeper cab, short chassis or longer chassis. I will say this is a nice kit and would recommend. But one concern, this isn't necessarily a kit for a novice, so that's something to consider. But overall, a fun kit.

This kit needs a makeover bad. Things that tried my patience: decals that tore into little pieces, wheel and rim assembly parts that don’t quite fit properly without filing, vague instructions, and 5 piece cab steps and mirror assemblies. Takes some very good modeling skills to produce a nice rig. Definitely not a good first big rig kit. Try to have fun anyway.

I started with Euro truck models so the multi piece cab was not a deal killer. The headlight elevation bugs me the most. I agree that it's worth the effort and it really is a beautiful truck when finished. Lots of build options ensure that you get to relive the labor, oops, i meant fun!

fun, fun , fun . i had a blast with this kit want to build it again ! if you like building semis i think you will enjoy this kit . not alot of flash and i did not need any putty . again this was a fun build

Was a fun build..I was aggravated at first with it no numbers in the trees but if you take your time its a fun build...not for a beginner

Like others have said the instructions are vague at best. Quite a bit of flash to remove. But otherwise a solid model.

Kit arrived and was packaged well. Kit however, some of the parts were warped and difficult to glue straight on.

just picked up this kit, cant wait to get started on it. just wish it would have came with two hole budd wheels!
