I found this kit on accident, bought it and was pleasantly surprised! it has clear and red tinted glass, comes with a bed tonneau cover and many custom parts=sidepipes multiple grill headlight combos wheel/tire combos etc. thought Id try a red themed car with red glass, after getting the entire body painted in burgundy I was masking off the tailgate for trim paint and off came my beautiful paint job! into the brake fluid vat and then decided on white as you see it now. I had some trouble getting the tailgate to fit, it will open and close but looked funny so opted to glue it shut. also had a ton of trouble with the hood fitment around the eyebrows much trimming/sanding needed there. I used tires from my bench stock as the whitewalls provided were gangsta style, caution with the three front suspension choices, I opted for lowered and it was super low!! I had to deconstruct the rear and shorten the rear springs to compensate. lots of building fun in this older kit! plan ahead, Happy Modelling!

For me personally this kit went together well. There were some fit issue with the hood that took some sanding to fit relatively flat. This kit has a ton of options; here are a just few of them: rails, bed cover, side pipes, color window options, tail light options, wheel and tire options. Plus 2 complete engines! On the flipside, the decal sheet offered little on the side of variety. Interior parts were pretty shallow, but with patience detail can be brought to life. I didn't have to glue the glass, interior tub or the chassis because they just pushed into place. That was nice. To be frank, I was skeptical about the body style not being my thing (I just couldn't wrap my head around it), but it is actually one of my favorite builds. PROS: I can say: I made this! CONS: Should've built this one sooner.

This is a pretty nice kit with loads of customizing parts and red and clear glass options. Two sets of tires and wheels are also included along with a nice print of the box art. There was a small amount of flash that needed dealt with and the parts fit was pretty good for the most part. I am going to have to see what I can do with the eyebrow moldings to get a better fit with the hood. Even before installing the eyebrow moldings I could not get the hood to fit flush with the stock air cleaner. This is not a body style that really appeals to me so I probably would not purchase another but that's just me.

this is a very cool kit, built a couple of them, most resent one got a few up grades, over all a good kit, some flashing but not bad, the blower in the pic is larger then the one it comes with, some adjustments will need done to fit the stock bumpers right, comes with clear glass and red tint, stock 409 has descent detail, interior isn't the best, but over all its worth buying.plenty of room in front finders if u want to lower it,

Kit is molded very cleanly almost no flash or warped part's. Goes together with ease, has 2 complete engines, 2 sets of wheels and tires, clear or red glass and options for exhaust. Built mine with all stock parts except wheels and tires. Also comes with Original art series photo.

Being one of my favorite cars I had to build this kit. After opening it I was amazed at how many extras were included. Plenty of decal options, wheel choices, and extra add ons. This is by far one of my favorite kits and one that I've really enjoyed building.

Nice clean molds,very little cleanup to do. Parts fit well,only a little sanding needed to get everything to line up. Lots of areas to add personal touches and additional detail. Definitely enjoyed building this kit.

What an awesome kit with lots of options. Love the fact they give you engine options, glass color options, tailgate options and other neat things that can be changed. Very well detailed. Pics to follow

It’s an Amt kit, so study the instructions carefully and test for fit. You can go in any direction with this kit from bone stock showroom to weekend drag car. Be patient and have fun!!

It was a challenging but satisfying kit to do. Please take your time. Let parts set and dry after painting. Not much part fit problems. Highly recommend kit.

This kit comes packed with options. Almost enough extra pieces to build another el camino! There's really no way to go wrong building it. Get 2 or 3 more!

Nice build hope mine will turn out as well! New at this hobby also think that the person must have been at it for awhile. Pics tell a lot

I like this kit a lot. The mild custom version is really nice. Its a pretty easy build too.
