As stated in the title, the burn rate and total impulse of these motors are great for launching scratch built rockets using Estes type BT60 and 70 body tubes. The thrust is low enough to not over stress the lightweight components but high enough to get the altitude despite the relatively large diameters of these tubes. I made a larger scratch version of the Big Bertha using BT70 tubing and this motor is perfect for this design. Like any composite motor, care must be taken when inserting the igniter as igniting composite is not as easy as black powder. If you are in a situation where you are trying to balance the demands of other members or your kids and cannot take the time to make absolutely sure you inserted the igniter right and put a little bend in it etc. stick with black powder or make sure everyone leaves you alone until you are satisfied you have done it right. The reward will be lots of smoke and flame out the back of the rocket, not your ears. As i said, lots of white smoke and good acceleration off of the pad gets everybody's attention. A great way to hook onlookers into joining your club!

We use a ton of these. Way more than any other single size motor. The 4 and 7 second delay both. Although the 7 second delay seems to get used a tad more. White lighting has great sound and flame. Great for anything with a E motor recommendation Puts a black powder motor to shame. Love this in a Estes Big Daddy and my Arreaux (with adapter). Big Daddy looks pretty dang small at apogee. Easier to use than the reloads and about the same price (E size reloads anyway) my calculations you dont save much per reload until you get F and bigger, and these are WAY less hassle...

The pluses: These are higher thrust, higher impulse, smaller, and lower weight than the Black Powder E's from the other motor maker. The minus: They do cost a little more, but in this case you get what you pay for. On the other hand, I've never had one of these blow through, and I can't say that for the Black powder E's. ;-)

Fired this motor in a custom build scale Patriot missile. Made an awesome launch. Lots of visible flame, nice roar. Rocket flew great to about 1100 ft. Ejection right on time. Even though I prefer the reloadable for the the price, I will probably end up getting more of these. Rocket info: 32in length, 8oz at liftoff, 56mm Diameter.

My go-to motor for those heavier D12 rockets or mid-power rockets launched from a small field. 100 percent reliability to date from 50+ Aerotech E20-powered launches!

very good motors one thing is strong ejection charge so i needed to get a aeropack retainer but i don't mind love the motor

put one in an estes liberty. quick ignition and good thrust for the rocket.
