G33's Grandkid
The G53 was developed to replace the G33 Black Jack (RIP G33, you are missed). It uses Aerotech's Fast Jack propellant, and thicker casting tubes to keep the propellant weight down so it can be sold as a model rocket motor. FJ is easy to light. This motor is barely larger than a F52, but has the advantage of being usps shippable (while the F52 is not). That is one of the reasons I like it so much :)
Very Nice Smoke trail - Super Launch
Launched an Estes Pro Series II Argent Rocket with the Aerotech G53FJ-7 motor. Lots of smoke and a really good roar. Left an awesome smoke trail and made for a great picture. Rocket flew to an estimated 1400' - 1500'. Easy to follow with a relatively slow launch, but plenty of thrust.
Great Engines
Easy to put together but for the first time it would have benefited to state that the ejection chage is not solid but a powder as I spilled a bit of mine opening it.
