Laying track is quick and easy using Atlas's flex track. Be advised that, though the track flexes either way, the side with the ties cut every other one is intended for the inside of curves. Begin laying your track on a straight away. It is paramount that you join rail sections with the track straight, then bend and secure it to the road bed. This track has holes for nails every 9th tie. If you have a foam sub-base, I recommend using cork road bed also for sale on hobbylinc.pro. Tie nails will hold the track to the cork securely until the track is ballasted. When you come around full circle to meet the first piece laid, you must be on a straight away. Trying to join track on a curve will create unnecessary problems. Be sure to solder your joints on the outside only. Use Atlas rail joiners to ensure a proper fit.

I remember using a similar item (HO Scale) when I was younger, much younger and not having the greatest results. However, add fifty (50) years to the equation, change the scale to N and the final results would be fantastic! I have tested and retested the track on the first third of my layout which was almost exclusively Atlas Code 80 Super-Flex track and after ballasting the train runs without issue at all speeds tested.

Wish I had been a little more versed on the differences of the codes when integrating with my old track from twenty years ago. This stuff is kinda on the cheap side and came two me with rails coming off the ties. Frustrating to work with so far. My track from twenty years ago has stood the test of time and many moves. May have to rethink my next purchase on flex track for I will need more track in near future.

I like the code 80 as I find it easier to work with than code 55. It also holds it's ties better than the code 55. Once you ballast your track, the high profile of the rail isn't noticeable and I like the high profile as it makes it easier for me to re-rail cars. Other brands cant be straightened out again very easily like the Atlas flex track can.

I had purchased a used model railroad in N scale with code 80 track at a junk shop. This flex track was perfect for fixing some problems and allowed me to remove a troublesome switch. I always use nickel silver track because it does not need to as frequently as steel or brass.

Love the flexibility of the tracks! however, being new to train sets and tracks i found them a bit confusing when connecting to a prexisisting track, but overall they look fantastic
