Necessary add-on for Bachmann remote switches
The green controller wire attached to the track is too short to be usable and this extension wire is a necessity, but the connectors are too large to fit into the adapter attached to the track. Comparing the contacts to those on the controller, the ones on the extension wire are clearly much larger. But they do make contact and a little electrical wire can be used to avoid any shorts. Still, for the money, Bachmann should make the contacts more compatible with their own product.

Using the extension wire harness enabled me to connect the switches more easily and without the problems usually connected with wiring several switches from power source to switch and trouble shooting malfunctions. I found this product to be easy to use and a big time saver, the manufacturer should consider including this ten foot extension wire with the switch rather than the shorter one .

Too bad that when you buy a switch the green wire is usually to short for your layout. At least you can buy these extensions even though a little costly. This worked great even though I only need about 1 foot.
Necessity
Expensive but worth it. All turnout switches are next to transformer. Made the process easy!
