Great Little Jewel
This is a little jewel on any HO layout and can be a great addition for a rural scene. There are lots of possible locations for this kit and another feature is that it is easily painted to represent your favorite railroad namesake. I modified my kit somewhat by adding an alcove onto the original structure from left over building parts to make a restroom feature, a welcome addition as waiting for trains can get old! I have the canopy section on another area of my layout to represent a more remote location with an old caboose as the station agent's office. As with many snap kits there are dozens of possible features and modifications all the way from out of the box to maxed out in detailing such as mine. So have a blast and enjoy your hobby.
Train Station
By: Cheryl (Boyce)
Even though the station was a snap together plastic project, you must use the glue for plastic for it to stay together. This was a very easy project. Though I tried to paint it so that it looks more realistic, it still looks fake; I guess because it is plastic. That is why I'd rather basswood projects instead. I have not set up my train as of yet, I'm still waiting to get enough buildings and landscaping be I set everything up and in place. I enjoyed putting together this project, but I wish it looked more real.
