A great helper to get a perfect finish for any paint you use.
This little gem will mix the devil out of any paint bottle you have! It fits almost any bottle that is on the market today. This will insure that your painting and finishing will be exactly what the maker of the paints intends. Just have a bottle of thinner or solvent that will rinse off the blade and shaft available to clean up after the mixing is complete. Two AA batteries are required to spin this little mixer. One hand operation is easy as there is a thumb switch for on/off of the device. I used to like Humbrol paints but the pigments settled out between use and the small tins were hard to mix by hand...shaking did not even get everything mixed enough. This thing solves all that...GET ONE!
This is THE way to mix paint
By: lhubbard1
This little item is the best 9-10 you'll ever spend for hobby tools. No more shaking bottles or using whatever you can find to mix paint. It is light, battery operated and mixes paint as smooth as melted butter Oh, make sure the shaft is all the way down in the bottle before you turn it on because this unit spins at a high rate of speed and you'll send paint all over the room if you don't Once you have the mixing head in the paint, turn it on and then move it up and down (slightly) and your paint will be ready to use I mix the paint first, then add it to a separate bottle with thinner and mix a final time. Works like a charm If you don't have one....take the time to get one now
Where Have You Been All My Life?
Can't say much about this puppy, but it falls in to the category of you gotta have one!. Shaking is ok, and I shook bottles for many a year. Truth be known I also turned my two daughters into a press gang for bottle shaking duty back in the long ago. Item works great, and cleans up without a problem. I just take it and stick it into the bottle of brush cleaner and run it for a couple of seconds and that is it. The only thing you should do is to pick out the center part of the mixing paddle. It has s dimple in it that collects paint, so pick it out especially when you are changing color or paint type. Excellent item for the price going to get a spare for the future.
Awesome Mixer
As many already know pigments are heavy sink and sit on the bottom need to be stern up good and even. Shaking sometimes just causes paint to go back and fourth and stirs up most surface chemicals, then the sticks are great but take much effort for a well balanced stir. This tool has a small hi speed motor inside to turn a nice stirring stick just as they do when making these paints its efficient in all ways. The only con I have about this mixer is the build quality.. its durable and will last until the motor cant handle anymore which without much resistance should be quite a long time. But badger could have given it a better switch at least mine was sensitive as heck
No more shaking bottles
I debated purchasing this mixer, does it really make a difference? Well, that question was answered when I was having issues with the primer I was using. Highly recommended, but It wouldn't spray correctly. Someone mentioned to make sure the primer was stirred properly, and to me, it was. But after too much frustration I dropped the $19 and bought the Badger. Boy am I glad I did, mixed the primer in a minute, added my thinner ratio, mixed it again and it sprayed smooth as silk, no fuss, no muss. Paints settle, making sure they're mixed well before using makes all the difference in the world. Another inexpensive MUST HAVE!
Great Mixer!
After years of shaking bottles by hand and often introducing a ton of bubbles into the pain or still having paint stuck at the bottom of the bottles, I finally bought and started using this paint mixer. Now I only use the electric mixer. It's small but powerful enough for all my hobby sized paints (acrylics, lacquer, alcohol and urethane) and it keeps the bubbles down to a minimum if you remember to only turn it on and off at the lower portion of the paint bottles. Very easy to clear with a cloth dampened with appropriate paint thinner. Enjoy!
Works as well as you can expect
This will mix up a bottle of paint as well as you could want - as long as it has enough thinner in it to mix. Where this mixer excels for me is in blending paint and thinner for airbrushing. I mix my paints in graduated plastic test tubes for ease of measuring and this mixer slips right down in the tube and does a bang up job every time. One word of warning - always hold a paper towel around the top of the bottle or tube you are mixing to catch any paint that gets thrown off; cause things can get messy in a big hurry if you aren't careful.
Small Paint Mixer
I have used these paint mixers for since the early 90's and these may look cheap but they are worth the $$$. I've gone thru at least 2 and I'm going to purchase another one because It does an Excellent and Outstanding Job on mixing the Acrylic Model Master Paints, Tamiya Paints, and a few others' such as Pactra Paints and my all time favorite: Gunze Sangyo Acrylic Paints. It would be kinda tough if I didn't have several of these Paint Mixers around my Shop. You won't be sorry that you purchased one or more and the $$$ is just right.
Excellent Badger Paint Mixer
This paint mixer is a must have. For the price, you won't find a better one. Very well made, and has a good heavy feel to it when using. Badger quality. The best thing is the mixing rod runs true, and doesn't wobble at all. High quality and strong DC motor. Easy to remove and install mixing rod, and the mixing blade/fan is solid, and not cheaply made. Has 2 ON switch positions: Full On or Control On, (Intermittent if you need it). Battery access is easy to open and close. No negatives, and I wish I had bought one sooner.
best. paint. mixer. EVER!

Like going from the stone age to the space age different. I had been using a piece of wire or a tooth pick to stir the paint in the bottles, which to say the least was hit or miss (mostly miss). This mixer does a great job even gets around the edges at the bottom. One thing I should mention be sure to turn it OFF before you pull it out of the jar, just saying. Would I recommend this? Not only yes but HECK YES, don't know how I got along without it. GET ONE and you'll see the difference too.
should get the job done
By: hilmanscotslion
this should work just fine for what it's made for. not a glowing review, but i see no reason it will not do the job. it's a little thin and not very sturdy crafted, but it will mix the paint and that all i ask of it. if you do a lot of painting this is very useful. mixer is small enough to fit most bottle's of paint you will use. easy clean up. need 2 AA batteries. not included.
Stay at the bottom
This does a good job of mixing paint. I used it will enamels. You need to stay at the bottom of the jar or else you get a latte froth in about two seconds. Not good. You also will need a jar of thinner to spin it in as the spinner insert is difficult to wipe clean because of its texture. I didn't like the waste. I prefer the stir paddles from Tamiya. No froth. No waste.
GREAT MIXER AND VERY HANDY
I really like the ease of using this mixer and how it completely stirs up paint bottle. It mixes paint so much better then shaking the bottle. It fits into Vallejo bottle, but is little to big for AK Interactive paints. I ran it sideways on a file so it would fit these AK bottles. I keep a bottle of clean water and run the mixer in it to clean the paint off.
Great tool.

This paint mixer changed my hobby life, in a few seconds it makes an excellent mixing. I usually work with Humbrol enamels (small 14ml bottles) and AK interactive products (35ml bottles), with both products I’ve got great results. This product is a must, it would make things easier, better and faster for you.
Helpful paint mixing tool

Performs the neat trick of stirring in the tiny paint pots we modelers use. However, it is a disappointingly cheaply constructed product that I had to glue at the seams with thin cement. But it does the job quickly and as far as I know, it's the only one out there. Batteries(AA)not included.
Must Have!!!
If you use a variety of paints and some bottles sit for a while, this is an essential tool. If you are at all serious about model painting this is a must have. Not very expensive, works great. I don't know how I went all these years without one.

I'm really happy I purchased this paint mixer. I use it whenever I open a bottle of paint. I also use it when I'm thinning paint for my airbrush. I like knowing that I've mixed my paints well. No need for me to shake the paint bottles anymore.

This makes getting a uniform coloring and covering. I just do not know how I ever got along with a good paint mixer all these years. And I like that it is small and easy to store when I am not working with it as my Hobby room is very small
Great mixer!
It’s way more powerful than you would believe for its size. Blended up a bottle of blue acrylic that had been setting for a couple of years, in no time flat, with no apparent bits of pigment visible. Definitely better than a toothpick!

Tried it as soon as I got it. Have some paints that have sat around awhile and have built up gunk at the bottom. This little mixer made short work of that & saved me a jar of paint. Works great. I have more paint to save.
Saves your hands
I was mixing paints with a toothpick before discovering this little gem. Perfect mixes paints, even clumped-up ones, with a minimum of effort. Cleans up easily, and the batteries last a very long time.
Great for large bottles.
I have several. Very violent so i recommend the larger bottles or containers. Spins so fast that small bottles tend to spill over. I have also mixed small sample cans of Rustoleum with this mixer.
Long Lasting and Durable
I have had this mixer since around 2000. All I have had to do is change the batteries. This product mixes the paint very well and very quickly. It is also very easy to clean. Highly recommended!
Glad I Finally Bought One
I put off buying one of these because I thought it'd be a waste. Now I'm kicking myself for not having bought one years ago. Mixes paint very fast and very well. I'll never be without one again.
Must have!
