Highly detailed kit of a classic Navy helicopter
Clear-Prop has produced an outstanding kit of the classic Kaman Seasprite. The kit includes highly detailed plastic and photo etch (PE) metal parts. For convenience, The doors are molded in clear plastic so that the windows only need to be masked rather than separate pieces. Be aware, this is not a kit for beginners. The numerous parts fit perfectly and thus they require precise placement. The PE parts require the appropriate bending tools to achieve the complex bends, but the result is absolutely outstanding. The decals are good and go down well. This instruction booklet is thorough and several schemes are provided. Clear-Prop also has aftermarket sets for resin engines and wheels/tires. I used the engines, but found the kit wheels just fine. This is a very high quality kit which will produce a highly detailed Seasprite.
