Classic DML kit that holds up despite it's age.
This is a pretty old Dragon set, though it still holds up with good sculpted details but are a tiny bit over-sized in comparison to concurrent Tamiya figures. The poses are great and match Ron Volstad's artwork closely in particular the paratrooper firing th FG42 and the one pulling the bolt on his Kar98K are my favorite figures in the set. However, Dragon had this annoying tendency to sculpt hands gripping the weapon. I use pin-vise w/ small drillbits to hollow the hands out so though I'm not sure if they intended fro modellers to cut the grips off of the weapons to fit. The bread bags are a bit big and boxy and the flat underside makes positioning them getting it to adhere properly is a task and a half. I drilled out a bit of back of them to fit better but if you have some left over accessories from much recent Dragon kits, that will help these figures really stand out (used two Mausers w/ the separately molded open bolts for the riflemen). The other issue is the bandolier pouches being over-sized as well and that remains an issue with the more recent Monte Cassino Defenders set. You can make due with them anyhow and I do like that they're individually molded to help placement on the figure. I like that Dragon has built quite a few kits portraying combatants for Monte Cassino and I would like to see them continue this trend. An old but still good kit.
Good set of figures
This set of figures is pretty good. I like the Fallschirmjager and this set does them justice. The details are great and the figures are great. I can recommend this set!
Great kit and great condition.
Parts details are very good and easy to assemble, as are all the Dragon kits I have used. I plan on using the figures in a diorama of Monte Cassino soon.
Love it
This is my second kit of these. They have good detail and the gear is great. I'm adding a couple of different dragon kits together for one diorama.
