Very disappointing
The illustration for the N scale version is actually the HO kit. In N scale, the windows are different (rectangular, not arched), as are the proportions: the plaster walls are much too thick relative to the size of the building, and the molded brick and stone are out of scale. Also, the fit of the windows is poor -- unless the openings are modified, the window frames sit proud of the wall, which pretty well destroys any realism -- I disguised this as best I could with long scratch-built awnings, but I'm still not happy with the results. As if all that were not bad enough, the signs that came with the kit were poorly printed -- none of them were usable.
Many of the Downtown Deco buildings look great in larger scales, but they don't work in N scale.
