Quick assembly, fun to fly
As advertised this is an easy to assemble rocket. The instructions are spot on accurate and helpful. The parts were manufactured accurately and fit up was good. This is not a beauty queen, but that was not really the point. This rocket was a confidence booster for my 10 year old because he could do almost everything himself. The first launch was fun and rocket flew very straight. We had a problem with the chute, it is large and a bit tricky to get packed in the small bore of the body. While the chute did not deploy properly, the rocket was tough enough to survive a rough landing. We look forward to another launch.
Don't expect a lifetime of flights
This is an okay project for a night before a launch, but not much else. Estes has several other kits in this vein that would be far more suitable and would likely hold up better. I do like the fact that they include a spare engine lock disc, because one will definitely be misplaced at some point. Mini engine power means that you will be getting an extra flight per pack, if it lasts that long.
