Great Educator Pack for Starters
Great 12 pack for beginners...purchased this for my 10yr old daughters Science Day at school. She built 6ea to fly. Each rocket kit was complete and easy to assemble. The only thing that took some time was for the glue to set-up while attaching the fins. I made a little jig for her to hold them in place as they dried. She painted each rocket and attached the self stick decals. I've uploaded pictures so be sure to check them out.
Again, this is your basic model rocket. However, it still gets lots of, whoa...that's cool, from the kids. FYI, we used A8-3 engines for the school demo. They flew fast and high, but the kids were still able to see the ejection charge puff of smoke for the descent streamer. It added to their excitement. If you use the larger B or C Series motors, this rocket just goes out of sight...which is really cool too.
Again, a great starter pack. These rockets perform well and are inexpensive to fly. Perfect for the kids...
Great value for a group build
If you're in the market for a bulk buy of kits for a scout troop or something of that sort, this is a tough deal to beat. The Viking is a very forgiving rocket that would make a perfect group build for an older, slightly more experienced group ready to move on from one of the RTF bulk offerings. The cardstock fins can be attached on any of the four edges, unlike balsa fins which must take into account the wood grain. A coating with thin CA will make them almost as durable as balsa.
very good beginers rocket

this rocket is very very good rocket if your just starting off. My science teacher got these for us to build and now he has got me hooked on them! now im on level 2 but this rocket is what got me into the madness! there is one exception though the fins are kinda hard to put on but other than that and as long as you follow the directions you'll be fine!
Viking rocket for junior high summer camp

Best to use the A engines for easier recovery, especially in limited space, since this has a streamer instead of a parachute. Fins are a bit easier to apply since they a card stock instead of balsa, but not quite as sturdy as other models.
Perfect classroom model

These models are great for scientific experimentation because they offer a lot of choices during construction. Even novice builders can successfully build and launch this model.
