Impressive Rocket with slow takeoff
This is a really impressive rocket. It is quite long for a D-E powered rocket. I really like the plastic fins and detail in the fins and nose cone.
One drawback is the lack of an ejection baffle. I added one during my build. At this level, ejection baffles are not common, so this is not a big drawback.
Another issue I have found is that Aerotech single use motors, like the E20W-7, will not fit using the motor retainer in the kit. Unfortunately, I didn't find this until it is built. I not sure how to solve the problem since it is integrated with the fin unit.
As for how it flies, I launched in on an Estes D12-5. Really slow, impressive flight. I was surprised in was fast enough to be stable, but it flew nice and straight. I will definitely try E and F power, but other than Estes BP motors, I can only use re-loadable 24mm AP due to motor retainer.
This is a great looking rocket that flies well, but the motor retainer limits the motor choices.
Looks great, but doesn't fly so great

This was one of my largest rockets when I got it, and also the heaviest. Construction is simple, but different from normal construction methods, but is very strong. I flew it once on a D12-3, and it just didn't have enough oomph to get it higher than 200 ft, and it was on an angle all through the flight, clearly underpowered, at that. I would recommend something with more average thrust than a D12 for this rocket, maybe an Aerotech E18, but definitely not an E9
