you get what you pay for

I have and electron beam launcher. It does work, but not well. I wanted my 5 yo son to launch the rockets maiden voyage, but the safety key is too hard to push down for him so i had to hold it down. The launch button for whatever reason took at least 20 seconds to ignite even an a-series motor and he thought he was doing something wrong.
Works for me
I have used this product launching at least 100 rockets now with a group of Cub Scouts in my Den and have not had issues with launches. As another person wrote, the safety button was tough to hold down for a young person, but after about 15 uses it seemed to soften the rubber on the safety pin and it worked fine for ages 8-13 yrs.
It's Nothing Fancy
This is a capable enough launcher. It has a key you have to insert as a safety precaution but it takes quite a bit of force to hold it down. The bulb that indicates that the circuit is armed can be difficult to see in bright sunlight.
Overall, this isn't fancy but it will get the job done.
Capable launcher
This unit serves as my range box backup for B6-4 Field launches. It does everything well, but is not as easily adapted to one hand launching. It can be done, but it strains the limits of my coordination to their limits.
Very sturdy

Have had it 4 years, lost it in a field for a month once, rained during that time, found it later on, still works great!!!
It works but lame
It works barely. Always seems like it takes forever for the rocket to launch and I hate messing with tangled wires!
great for basic launcher
I have two of these in my field box and they have never failed me. Great for a lpr rockets!
Not a very nice item.
When I got this item it was not working very well, but it may have been my batteries.
