Estes has hit the nail on the head with these retainers. If you're building any 29mm rocket available on Hobbylinc, add these to your cart. You will be glad that you did! These retainers are perfect for Single Use and RMS motors from Aerotech, as well as the common Cesaroni motors. These are comparable to the much more expensive Aeropack motor retainers, except a little more bulky and not quite as slick as the aluminum Aeropack. The functionality is identical, as these retainers will work just as well and you get 2 at a much lower price. Add this to any LOC or Aerotech kit with a 29mm motor mount! Makes your life a lot easier!

Easy to install and easy to use. This is a good retainer for the price and an excellent alternative to the more expensive metal retainers which can cost as much or more than the rocket they are used on. After a few launches of E-G class motors, my first pair are holding up well. My only nit is that it is a bit bulky. On smaller diameter rockets, the closure is larger than the rocket. On one use, I sanded down the ribs to make the model a bit more aerodynamic. I just bought two more packs and plan to use these on all my 29mm motor mounts.

I purchased these after I misplaced the original in the Estes Ventris kit. I can not be more satisfied. These are cheap, and work great. Simply epoxy one end to your motor tube, and you are ready to go. They screw on, and hold your motor tight. I launched my rocket, and these survived a 1,000 feet free fall, keeping the motor in nice and tight. Great product, and is a must have for any rocket, its price, simplicity, and functionality make it such a great product.

These are the same retainers that come in Estes Pro Series II kits. They work well for scratch built rockets or kits where you would not want to invest in an aeropack retainer, but provide the benefits of a screw on. The only downside is that they are plastic so they can be more easily effected exhaust heat discoloring the cap. Overall they are an excellent value.

Love the low cost for these easy to install/easy to use retainers. Not only are they cheaper than the metal alternatives but you get two sets for less then the cost of a potentially difficult to use metal models (older versions used little snap rings that were a pain to install and remove...and easy to lose!)

I started out using these on some of my larger Estes rockets because they were included in the kit, but I quickly ordered some extras when I realized the utility that they offered. Just scuff up the inside of the ring and the end of the motor tube, apply epoxy sparingly, and wait until it dries.

I was concerned that the photo in the product introduction showed only 1 male and 2 females, but what I actually received were 2 males and 2 females. I also tried to make an engine mount using my body tube and it was very easy. (It was the same both for 24mm and for 29mm.）

These are the best value for a 29mm motor retainer. MUCH lower cost than the metal retainers and work just the same. They are easy to attach and use. After many flights they hold up very well. I highly recommend these! I wish Estes would make these in other sizes.

I love the simplicity of this retainer. The price is great and installation / use is a breeze. I will never fumble eith any other type of retention system for my 29mm RMS loads.

Works as it should. No complaints. I have a few of these I have used. Be sure to rough up the inside and use epoxy or else it will not work.

After I ordered I thought, darn, should have ordered 2. But yeehaww. There are 2 sets per pack. Excellent value.
