What a great addition to my tool kit
I went back and forth on purchasing this thing for quite some time. I'm so glad I finally pulled the trigger. The aluminum frame is a very comfortable size at about 4-1/2 across and 4 tall. I expect it to last for many, many years. The sanding belt is 1/4 and fits into every space I've tried so far. It's smoothed round surfaces, square edges, and even some contours so far, and it's done so with surprising ease and efficiency. This particular kit includes a nice selection of belts in four grits identified as Coarse (6 included), Medium (6 included), Fine (3 included), and Extra-Fine (3 included). The Fine and Extra-Fine have been adequate for my needs. Refills are readily available, which is great because I anticipate this tool getting a lot of use.
How did I get by so long without this?
Wow. I should have bought this years ago! This has made sanding curved surfaces much easier. Fuselage seams can be a challenge to sand without flattening out the curvature. With this handy sanding frame and the correct grit it is a breeze to do now. Comes with an assortment of different grits. By one, you won't be sorry.
