Mr Hobby products are not cheap but they work very well. This product is no exception. As just a primer it covers extremely well with only a couple light coats. It dries quickly and does not run easily. It might prove to be a good color under a red final coat but where I've found it helpful is where I'm going to use the paint chipping technique. I have sprayed this as the base primer but also the rust layer. No need to seal it before you spray a chipping fluid like those available from AK. The primer red color stays fast as you chip away at the acrylic color topcoat. I repurposed a cheap die cast motorcycle using this technique and attached a couple photos to illustrate.
