Another Hobby Boss easy assembly kit, it features low parts count, and their trademark one-piece fuselage and wing assemblies. Accuracy and overall detail is good for the scale. The main wing is accurate for an F-40 Sabre, having different and distinct details from their F-30 Sabre (mainly being wider). Includes a decent cockpit, topped with a clear, single-piece canopy. Airbrakes can be built open or closed. Features two great decal options (the German example on the box lid, or a colorful JSDAF bird) on a comprehensive sheet. This one comes highly recommended!

Like most hobby boss planes the inst is good and color chart is good. There is not a lot of dectale but the parts fit well and the decals come for german and japanese plane. The decals must be use with care for will tear. But a very good plane for the first timer.

Very easy model. Only has about 15 pieces to it. My daughter and I put it together. It does need some internal weight in the front, which it doesn't warn you about when building. It was nice to practice on.
