bad blurb, decent kit
I was hesitant to get a Hobby Boss kit because of a very bad sheet of decals that disintegrated when wet. I picked the Hobby Boss kit because I wanted to build a P-80 from WWII, and the blurb for the kit said it had markings from 1945. Well, it didn't; when I opened the kit the decal markings were both from 1948. Not happy
The kit itself was pretty good; the stems from the tree wee very thick and difficult to clean from small parts, but the detail was good and the parts fit pretty well. I was able to scrounge up spare decals from other kits and copy an online photo from the WWII period. (I should try to see if the decals in the kit are any good, or like the last Hobby Boss kit I had). The build came out pretty well, so I give it a thumbs up, save for the misinformation.
