type 035 ming class (aka USSR romeo class)
I bought this kit not knowing how well hobby boss kits go together. The kit was a very pleasant surprise The sub is big the hull is typical 2 piece and a 2 piece main deck. The deck gave a little hassle where the 2 deck halves meet in the middle tends to sag if you put the conning tower on too early so give the deck time to set. The forward dive planes install easy and move into which ever position suits you. The sub even comes with its own gang way which stores on deck. thier are many detailed mast and railings on the conning tower but they all went in with no fuss. overall she is easy to build and will show well after she is painted.
