If you look at this kit in a quality vs price equation, I don't think that there is a single other 1/72 modern jet kit that can even compare. I can not even imagine how Hobby Boss is able to supply this kit and make money off of it. Overall, the molding is very high quality, with a surprisingly high number of parts and next to no flash. The recessed panel line detail is particularly nice, though likely a bit too deep. One of the best parts of this kit is the cockpit, with a very well detailed cockpit and instrument panel that looks especially nice beneath the canopy. When I built mine, I didn't use any of the kit decals, so I can't speak to the quality of those. This kit would probably make a really good first step for a younger person looking to get into the hobby. It is not too difficult to build, yet still present's nicely. And, of they manage to botch it up, only a very small amount of money has been wasted.

good kit. moderate fit, though amazing for the price. i built the marines version and it looked pretty good...the instructions were good, in color. this fell off my shelf and i made into a drone...?nice model, intakes do not fit, i suggest putty also the missile dcals are poor. over, i would recommend this

This 1/72 F-5E is perfect not only because it is at a very cheap price, but because it is easy to build and has excellent panel detail! Unlike many 1/72 kits out there, this one actually comes with good cockpit detail! Nice weapons selection and a decal sheet to choose from 4 aircraft.

As with all hobby boss models the parts are clean and the instructions are easy to read. some parts are hard to get out of the box. And the decals are somewhat easy to tear. But i would say it is a good model even for the beginner model bulder.

Good panel lines. No flash. Offers a desent cockpit. Has an okay pilot fig. ( Atleast something is better than nothing. ) Has sidewinders for the wing tip mounting brackets and twin machineguns in the nose.

this is a very nice kit and at a great price. it is very detailed and has deep panel lines. the wing roots can be a little problematic, but with a little patience will go together with little need for filler.

Got to love the tiger. I got this kit to get me back into modeling because it’s one of my favorite Jets ever made. Can’t wait to finish and put up pics of it.

Great little build. Like the option of building different versions. My paint job didn't come out the way I hoped. Overall enjoyed building the jet.
