A nice jump jet for your collection.
Like Hase's other long-reboxed 1/72 aircraft kits, it has an adequate cockpit (seat & pilot, coaming & HUD glass, but NO IP or stick), basic wheel wells, nicely molded parts and ok surface detail. The intake ducting parts are engineered in an intelligent manner; they look convincing when assembled. The thrust-vectoring nozzles can be made to swivel, if you prefer. The airbrake can be fixed in the deployed position. Stores include a bomb, rocket launchers and centerline/wing drop tanks. Features markings for two airframes: a U.S. Marine, and a British bird. Overall a nice Harrier to keep your other shelf sitters company!
Good, basic kit - enjoyable build
My only real gripe is that the cockpit lacks any detail, the pilot figure is so lacking as to be unusable and the ejection seat looks more like a couch. Having said that, the aircraft itself builds up well and looks good when painted and decaled. I added an aftermarket pilot and ordnance. I recommend this kit but be prepared to add some detail to the cockpit.
Great rendition of early Harrier!
This 1/72 kit by Hasegawa has done a great job at creating the first operational Harrier! Good surface detail and plenty of fuel tanks, rocket pods, and bombs! Comes with a decal sheet which lets you choose from either a USMC or RAF jet.
Av8a harrier
These things are loud and can take off vertically. One of the coolest Jets I’ve ever seen. When I saw this was available from hobbylinc, I had to get it. Will post finished pics when I finish.
