nice little model
this kit is accurate and had good fits. I built the marine version. research revealed that VMF 312 was headquartered at Beaufort MCAS in South Carolina. I assume the bombs were Mk 82's, the instructions do not designate. missiles are sidewinders I believe. ok cockpit, good fit on canopies. be sure and put the star decals on BEFORE mounting missiles. if you want the refueling boom extended, you will have to cut the decal. when finished it will have the distinctive crusader squat which adds a proper profile. would recommend to one and all.
almost perfict
This model have a great dectale for a model of the scale. The parts fit well and inst sheet is good and color chart is good there are decals for three planes two u.s. and one french. The only bad part is the fit of the sidwinders and the number of decals that must be placed went biulding the u.s. planes if you have the hasg air to ground kit thare is a chart for bombs that can be on the hardpoints. It is a model for the med to exp biulder.
Not bad for an old mould. Actually good!
The thing about this airplane is that it was the precursor of the corsair II. But in therms of model, it looks better than its son. This was meant to be a fast interceptor, which would raise the wing to get lower landing speed on the aircraft carrier. And even if the flaps are not shown deployed, this feature, raising the wing, it is possible to do. With some extra weapons it looks like a killer! Nice to be on the F collection.
F-8E Crusader
This is the first jet I have built since coming back to the hobby. It was enjoyable. The parts went together well. I tried a technique I found on YouTube of using rubber cement for masking. I used slightly different shades of gray to simulate wear, then went too far with a darker gray and ended up painting over the darker shade.
Nice Kit!
I had no complaints about this kit. Very little flash, and no major fit issues. There was a lot of mold release agent on the parts but that cleaned up with soap and water.
vietnam era fighter
this model is very detailed for it being a 1/72 scale. I have built two 1/48 scale models and decided that I would build a 1/72.
Great for a older kit
It was a fun build and the price was good. It doesn't have a pilot but I had extra from some other kits to use on this kit.
F-8E CRUSADER
VERY NICE KIT PARTS FIT WELL BUILD AS U.S.M.C. VERSION,USS ORISKANY VERSION,OR FRENCH NAVAL VERSION.LOTS OF DETAILING POSSIBLE
Good little kit.
My first hasegawa kit and so far it hasn't disappointed. Probably going to get some larger scale from them.

Great kit, with good fit, detail. Sidewinders can be tricky to mount over decal placement. A pleasure to build.
F8e crusader
