Nakajima Ki43 review
I have built quite a few European theatre subjects of late so I thought that the Pacific theatre needed my attention. Hasagawa does a wonderful job with their native subjects. This kit of the Oscar is very nice. It for me had some difficult areas. Like the wing roots. I struggled to get the fit right. I sanded the inside structure to try and get the fit that I wanted. Finally I had to settle for a little putty. Not what I wanted but, it was okay in the end. The surface detail is both raised and recessed. This looks to me to be right. I was very happy with the surface after priming and painting. I am having a lot of fun with the weathering. This kit will give you a very nice looking Oscar. I think that this kit is well worth the price of the kit. I have had many fun hours of building with this kit. So, would I recommend it to a friend? Very much so. It is well thought out and easy to build. Someone with a little more skill than me will not have any difficulty setting the wings right. I learned a lot which is good for my skill level improvement. You will enjoy building this kit.
