This is an OUTSTANDING kit, but not as a “first” kit for someone
Up front – the parts count is a lot. I don’t know the number, but it is a lot! I was still working on the ladder frame and I was 100 parts in! I would suggest this kit for someone who has at least a handful of kits under their belt before they would tackle this one. The possibility for mistakes is compounded by the picto-instructions that can be slightly vague in places. The figures are outstanding, although they have similar faces and hair. The sculpting is natural and well-done. Caution: step 20 part is a spacer! Do not glue. The engine is complete and only needs wiring (and I don’t think it would have been bare steel like the instructions call out). There are a few knockout marks to deal with, but other than some very TINY parts, it puts itself together with a hitch. The model turned out beautifully, and the unique scene was really worth it!
