Excellent kit representing the first FA-18 Super Hornet
Very nice kit. Represents the first, experimental FA-18E Super Hornet used for carrier trails, etc. Parts are clean with minimal flash, etc. Panel lines are recessed and clean. Exhausts are nicely detailed. The kit has options to build with the canopy open or closed, although the cockpit is very simple. The speed brake can be modeled up or down as well. Comes with a full complement of missiles and ordinance, i.e, pretty much everything the Super Hornet was capable of carrying when introduced, and I built it with all of them, each with it's own decals. Decals are good quality and went down and conformed nicely. Instructions are clear and easy to follow, including a nice paint scheme guide. This was a fun build of the latest Hornet.
