Worst of my kits yet. Plastic is weirdly thick but soft and bendy. Clear parts are brittle. Mold us old and needs retooling. Mold lines and ejector pin marks on every single part. Flash on several parts some parts were incase in it. Lots of sanding and filling required. Small fiddly parts were misshapen and brittle. Sprue gates were very large. Instructions were vague and decals were missnumbered on call out sheet. Stencils were tiny and some simply melted away when wet. Decals were oddly thick on some thin on others. Two have different thickness on the same decal. I took pics of these 2 decals. Front windshield doesn't fit at all. Very frustrating kit although the subject itself is one I'd like to try again.

The C47 is the military version of the famous Douglas DC-3 built by thousands (more than ten thousand) in the Middle Ages of aviation. It was largely used in WWII specially on D-Day in 1944.
Though I am going to adapt it for the civilian DC-3 used by MEA-Middle East Airlines. I bought the decal on the market for the 1/72 Scale MEA. It was the first airplane I travelled with it when my mother took me in it whenI was 40 days old from Beirut to Aleppo. It will be my first kit to build and display of this order.
OK, but want to try the new Airfix now

Just finished putting the decals on this kit. The mould was pretty good, but some fit issues arose. The wing gaps were very different sizes on wither side, which took substantial time to get back to just acceptable. Panel lines are recessed, but are very very thin, especially the ribs along the horizontal stab. The worst spot for fit was where the windshield met the fuselage, and the area was generally weak. Be careful there. Interested to see if the new Airfix is any better.
Vietnam era build
I built this model for a friend of mine that is a Vietnam veteran. He was associated with the OMS maintenance group which serviced these planes. I painted the plane with camouflage color scheme with tan, light green and dark green. This model is a 1:72 ,Italeri model and is a very good looking model for it's size. I enjoyed building for a military veteran in the Air Force in 1970 Vietnam.
Very nice older kit, good build, the detail is not up to today's standards

This kit builds up well, but it is not up to the standards of today's new molds. The gaps and joins need sanding to get smooth. This kit has been issued in a number of different versions including a gunship. They all have one thing in common; you must use a great deal of car when installing the cockpit glass. It is a very tight fit and if you try to force it; it will break!
Nice little C-47 kit

I used this kit as part of an in flight diorama. Nice little kit. Don't recall it giving me any major issues. Much more reasonably priced than the airfix offering. I don't understand some of the bad reviews, I think it's a nice little kit.
C-47 Skytrain model

Pretty easy to build, good instructions for 12yr old and up.Good fit with pieces except for wings; gaps(putty needed). Aircraft easy to paint and decals go on well. Displays very good with other WWII 1/72 scale aircraft. Some call this plane a Gooney Bird.
total trash
i think packrats are cute and this model is evil awful fits like an inverted version of the kit in other words bad dont buy i only got one decal, from amazon but still it also doesn't [or didnt] come with wheels yup a no go it came with an owl

Beautiful detail. Extensive decal sheet. Not too complicated especially for a new or returning to the hobby modeler. Can be detailed out to whatever level you want.

I really liked building this model. Would've been a lot easier if SOMEBODY would've included the freaking directions!!!
Great fitting
Overall parts fit together great. No seam lines with minimal work. A few minor trimming and fitting for landing gear up but a great build
