Reviews : Italeri Commando Car

This is a nice little kit especially for the price and builds into an attractive model. Although this kit looks simple, and an easy build, I personally found it to be somewhat of a challenge. Unlike other reviewers, I did not find the instruction diagrams to be as clear as they should be when determining the location and proper positioning of some parts. There is also a lack of pilot holes and glue tabs for some parts that would have made positioning of parts more exact which Tamiya and Dragon are very good at. There are no decals provided. I found that once the steering wheel, and column was glued in, I was unable to fit the drivers legs in. It could be an issue of part positioning and not necessarily a kit issue.

Definitely not for the young. A lot of little fragile parts.... soft plastic.... be aware when cutting the little parts.... As another reviewer mentioned figure cannot go in with the driver wheel and column.... I attached the column to the dash and set aside....then figure put in... it’s a little tricky and some dexterity needed... but it works other wise no figure.... need to find a rider for this one.... take your time and be gentle with smaller parts

A fantastically-detailed Jeep, loaded with weapons and stowage. Features a full frame and suspension, engine, and is detailed top to bottom. As a nice bonus, it still includes the normal folding windshield, so you could build a bog-standard Jeep if desired. Also features a driver figure. Lots of diorama potential with this one. Don't have one yet? Why not?! Highly recommended.

I enjoyed this kit. Lots of detail, well fitting parts, and opportunity for adding on scale wires and ropes to add your own special take. I used weathering and mud effects for that wear and tear look. I also used old electronic parts on the inside of the engine and along the storage areas. Once everything was primed, painted and weathered, it looked great!

Never had an Italeri before…but I was surprised. Good tooling and engineering. Went together very well with good fit and detail. I’m very confident on how their M-7 Priest will turn out. Lot of small parts and count for such a small vehicle…fun to assemble because of good fit. Try one for the price.

Larger scale models are more fun to make, and this is a great deal on a good scale model that will give you hours of enjoyment. Lots of great detail, and many fun parts. Fits are good, and the model looks great after after-painting effects like washes and detail in paint and grime.

It's hard not to love a nicely detailed jeep with so many machine guns for such a nice price. The plastic is very clean and nice and the instructions are very clear. It includes some nice stowage and a figure. It's difficult to find any negatives at this price.

This builds how you would expect the real vehicle to build. Simple, step by step instructions follow the same patern used in a manufacturing plant. The detail is incrredible, right down to the motor under the hood.

There is a figure (driver) included and an incredible amount of flash on initial receipt inspection. There are lots of included accessories and opportunity. I can't wait to start this one. Pictures at 11...

Excellent kit for dioramas, plenty of extras to add detail and interest. Adding some figures makes this a perfect kit to use your imagination and create some detailed dioramas.

This is the first time I've a model this small and it's been a challenge but I enjoy models and hope to build more.

I have a back log of models to build but am really anticipating the completion of this one.
