It's lack luster but I like it?!
Modeling 40 yrs-mostly aviation.I do a lot of 1/32. If you like the Macchi then get it-that's the bottom line.Some parts and assemblies (pieces) are quite poorly conceived and reminder of older kit.I chose gear up option and engine closed as these areas can be nice but problematic or just not good .Injector marks should be much more minimized.Cockpit is nice but I simply did not complete most of the parts as they would never be seen in closed cockpit. Pluses: the Shape and paint scheme options. of positive note were the many louvers in the cowling that were quite well done with minimal flash. I did 1/3 of the PE as some are just too small and could have been molded into outer skin of A/C. Decals great. I balked at writing this review as I advocate this for Macchi lovers but expect to be slightly exasperated as a simple kit was made with a poor plan- I am conflicted but glad to have it on my shelf. Reminds me of old Hasegawa kits that were good but the details (often missing) weren't there. No way close to some Tamiyas you can get for cheaper. Not lots of reviews around that are genuine- good luck. I felt this deserved a review as it does look great in flight on my display area.
