Reviews : Italeri F-14A Tomcat

You built 3 kits from 3 different OEM’s. For the money, this should satisfy a good amount of people. The markings are great especially the VF1 Wolfpack. ( i used these on my Hasegawa ) The ordinance came out phenomenal. Were this kit fell short for my specific kit was the inlets were warped as well as the AIM 54 fuselage rails. I will say Italeri customer service is responsive and doesn't just hope you just go away.

This is a very good kit and has very good details. Fit is good. Only issues are the tail hook is not accurate and some of the decals are not in correct scale, Slightly on the large side. I used an aftermarket set from Superscale for VF-51. Cockpit has some good detailing and the seats are pretty good just needing to scratch build the upper ejection handles..

This is overall a great kit for the price, and a very fun build. There are some parts that dont fit great and need work and patience to get them together, and some parts of the marking diagrams are off. On the plus side this kit is fun has great detailing including lots of panel lines and rivets, and comes with lots of decals. Great kit for the price!

A nice kit of the F-14A Tomcat. Parts fit was good,with no flash. The decal shhet in my opion is excellent, offering several different squadron markings. Surface detail is good. The only problem I found with this it is that the seats are foe a D model not an A model. I replaced mine with resin ones. Overall a nice kit. I would recommend it.
