This model was difficult to make look good. The biggest problem is the hull does not come in one piece and the plastic is flimsy which makes it difficult to fit the pieces together flush. Many pieces do not fit well. The aircraft lack a lot of detail which makes them look very generic. I suppose if you had the skill and wanted to take the time to make tiny intricate details on 30+ aircraft you could. You also have to be very careful when applying the decals to the deck. I would recommend measuring them first and marking exactly on the deck where they need to go prior to applying. Also, the instructions call for painting the lower portion of the hull flat red but I've always found that Tamaiya Hull Red looks much better on ships.

Builds into a good representation of the real ship. Few detractors though...the tower in the model doesn’t reall look like the one on the box or the one in real life and lacks the shaping needed to really look like CVN76. Also the included aircraft leave something to be desired. However there are plenty of after market aircraft and scratch build materials to easily remedy this is you feel the need. Decals and detail of the kit are great otherwise
