Templar Knights Ride

ITALERI as usual has produced a very nice set. Not their best, but still good enough to receive an excellent rating. If I could give a rating in-between Good and Excellent, I believe this set would fall into that category. While the detail is very good, its just not as clean as I would expect. You still get some excellent detail, even to the point of seeing some of the arteries on the horses. You get 15 Riders, but only 5 different poses, which is another reason why I don't rate it their best. All but Six figures have their weapons attached, all Swords. All have their Shields attached. Shields are nicely detailed. The Six, without attached weapons, have Lances, One Short, One Longer. Figures are Tan in color. It'll be fun decorating the Horse Trappings.
Very Good Figures

The pieces were all in great condition and were all able to be freed cleanly from the sprues with a pair of snips. There was very minimal flashing. Two of the poses do require the lance to be inserted into the knight's hand. For me, the lances went in without issue. The only negative is that most of the riders do not sit very securely on the horses. I will probably just secure them on with a dot of glue. On average the figures (with riders mounted) are a bit under 1.5 inches in height and a bit over 1.5 inches in length (nose to tail on the horse).
Pros: Good condition, only a few instances of flashing, good detail
Cons: Nothing major. As mentioned above the riders don't sit securely in the saddles.
Great Set

Similar to Italeri’s Teutonic Knights, I was very impressed with this set of Templars. They are well-modeled and well-spaced on the spruce. They are detailed enough to show off an elaborate painting job, but durable enough for my 7 y/o to be able to play with them.
One thing to be aware of is that different knights seem molded to fit better on certain horses. The intent seems to be to associate knights with the right horse, either in terms of period or rank.
good set

The crusaders need to be cut, be careful cutting the spears as it can be easy to accidentally break them. You may need to cut and shape the crusaders themselves as they tend to fit in the saddle a weird. Use super glue to fit them to the saddle, but Make sur the knights fit or the glue wont stick. Overall this set works well and is recommendes for use as a war game set
