Perfect when you need a longer coupler
I have an HO GP35 with added snow plows on each end. I found that the trip-pin on the standard coupler rubbed the plow and kept it from moving freely from side to side. The Kadee 146 is about a tenth of an inch longer than the standard coupler, so I installed it and the couplers now works great. The snap-together draft gear box is also nice and reduces some of the fumbling around that can happen during coupler installs.
