Reviews : Lindberg Serpent Show Rod

Well don't wanna be a Downer but I wasn't real impressed. I started this a couple times. The first thing I was disappointed with is the body has the snake scales molded right in. So I finally decided to grind/sand them off. the kit had a lot of flash and injection port plastic on lots! This kit has no options so until I started another kit which supplied me with some correct scale stuff I started this again. This kits does have a lot of Chrome and working steering and rolling wheels, Detail is great. The instructions need little help but you can work through it.

I had seen this kit in the past & always passed it by. After thinking about the kit bashing, I can do with it, I ordered it. And low & behold it was on Clearance. The kit has great detail & is virtually flash free. instructions are well detailed. I look forward to building a 60s hot rod out of this & putting the SERPENT parts in the parts stash. On first look at the kit, I can say if you want a 1off custom hot rod, this is the kit. The kit shipped quickly as all HobbyLinc orders do, & it arrived in good shape & well packed.

Well I have to say, I didnt know what to expect from this model kit. I searched and searched the internet and the only pictures I could find were box art photos. This is a very nice, rolling chassis, working steering, optional parts, there was even a spare part that fit great on the front grill as teeth. The one disappointment was that there was no fan belt although there were 2 piece pulleys for the crank and the water pump, very noticeable in a model of this scale. I would definately recommend this kit.

Comes with 3 cobra heads, I only used one on the shifter. Two other cobra heads can go on the seats. Has a snake skin detail on the body that you can leave on or sand off. Is a little bit bigger model. Comes with different parts to customize- two different wheels, third seat, multiple cobra heads. For intermediate builder. Doesn't come with plug wires as my pics show plug wires.

Everything is in the kit, looks good to work with, not going to really personalize it or make it unique, but will build it to the best of my abilities, (I'm not a professional, just an amateur.)

This model is fantastic. All the decals that where remade came out great. Compared to the old kit it is right on. I am so glad they reissued it.

Nice larger scale kit, went together well. Lots of chrome, a great re-issue from the past!

This will be a fun model to build I have wanted to build it for sometime
